                        ASPIRE Bay Area

ASPIRE Bay Area started at Asian Law Caucus when some undocumented young clients seeking a path to legalization discovered that their only solution was an immigration reform, such as the DREAM Act. ALC was the only space they had to share experiences, struggles, and successes. Our mission is to foster a safe environment and support network for Asian Pacific American undocumented students so that they may achieve their dreams of pursuing higher education. Through advocacy and community building, we work towards creating an inclusive and socially just American society.

ASPIRE UCLA is a student immigrants rights organization on campus. Founding members started a new chapter at UCLA in 2010 because they felt like a minority within a minority whenever they attended immigration rallies or meetings. Our hope was to find and befriend more undocumented Asian American students. Our ultimate goal is to strengthen the unity of undocumented Asian American students on and off campus, to raise awareness in the Asian community, and to promote immigrant rights through advocacy, training, and education.
